Different dates for different cartridges? You can edit each one after saving. If you skip the date, we won’t invent a due date.

Why the gallon limit can change the date

A Brita Elite cartridge is rated for 120 gallons or about six months. At two gallons a day, 120 gallons takes about 60 days. That is sooner than six months. The calculator uses the earlier limit when you enter daily use. Daily use is an estimate; it does not read your filter’s meter.

Questions you may have

How does the replacement date calculator work?

It adds the verified time limit to the date you enter. If the part also has a gallon limit and you enter daily use, it uses whichever limit comes first. Models without a verified schedule use a check-in interval you choose.

Does every water filter need changing every six months?

No. The part and system matter. A pitcher cartridge, carbon filter and RO membrane can have different limits. Use the exact model’s manual and indicator. The reference list below shows the schedules supported by this tool.

What if I do not know the last replacement date?

Choose “I’m not sure of the date.” We will not make up a due date. Check the system and its manual, then record the date when you change or check it.

Will I get an email or phone notification?

This tool downloads a calendar event. Open it in your calendar and confirm its alerts. It does not send email or background notifications. After a change, replace the old event with the new one.

Do I replace all the cartridges in an RO system at once?

Follow the schedule for each part. The tool keeps separate dates for supported multi-stage systems. Recording one cartridge change does not reset the other cartridges.

Can I wait until the reminder if the filter indicator says to change it?

Follow the device indicator and exact manual if they call for an earlier change. A calendar date estimates timing; it does not measure water quality or how much life is left in the filter.

Can I use the reminder without buying a filter here?

Yes. You can save any model listed in our catalog, even if you bought it elsewhere. Your list stays in this browser on this device; no account is needed.
